Submersion is a youth welfare service specifically for young people with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder).
Submersion's social workers provide the necessary initial support to help those affected cope with their split personalities – and do so on an equal footing. They also bridge the gap between the young people and other services (such as therapists or psychiatrists), offer support, and establish clarity through structures.
Not only the young person receives support in coping with the mental illness, but also their families. DID can be a major adjustment for both parties.
